Holidays - Football, Snow & Family November 28, 2006

Oh how I love Turkey day… This year we joined my family for a feast - several tables, lots of family and friends and utterly boring football (with the exception of the Denver v. Kansas City game, which was marginally interesting). Once again, I’ve learned why I should never make predictions about the games - the outcomes were the exact opposite of what I expected.

Speaking of football - if you caught last night’s Seahawks/Packers game you were in for a treat. It wasn’t the best executed game, but snow and Brett Favre and lots of touchdowns and interceptions and last minute drives made for a great game. I’m still confused by the commentators, though - they seemed to suggest that the Seahawks are this amazing team, but honestly, if their opponent had been even slightly more talented at not throwing interceptions, they’d be up a creek. I feel fairly confident in saying that Denver is going to take them to town next week (although that new QB thing might shake it up a bit).

Hopefully, your holidays were great, too. Despite some weather-related troubles and a few minor conflicts that always come from family get-togethers, I’d say this year’s Thanksgiving was one of the best yet. Now I’m off to get me some more of those delicious leftovers.
